Brooklyn Bridge

In 1883 the New York and Brooklyn Bridge opens connecting Manhattan with Brooklyn. Engineered by John A. Roebling's Sons Co. This structure crossing the East River is one of the first steel cable suspension bridges completed in the U.S. Still in use today the bridge is one of the oldest surviving examples of a suspension bridge.
