A recent article by Mella Rothwell Harmon, an architectural historian and preservation consultant, chronicles the rediscovery and authentication of two forgotten Paul R. Williams’ buildings in Lovelock, Nevada. (The existence of the Lovelock Inn and the Tharpe/Brinkerhoff residence were discovered via a query sent to the Paul R. Williams Project web site.) In her article Harmon includes a history of Williams’ life and work in Nevada. Little known, his many Nevada projects are often overshadowed by the glitz and glamour of his California designs.
