A “Googie-style” building in the Crenshaw area of Los Angeles designed by African American architect Roy Anthony Sealey has recently been restored and renovated. As a young architecture student at USC, Sealey worked for Paul R. Williams. This building at 2901 Exposition Blvd is considered a landmark in the neighborhood both for its design and as the office of Dr. Keith I. Pittman, one of the first African American veterinarians in southern California. When Sealey opened his own practice in the same building as Williams, he specialized in the design of veterinary hospitals.
